Grammar for IELTS

In the IELTS test, Grammar is awarded a separate band score in both the Speaking and Writing modules. You are assessed on your ability to use correct and appropriate grammar and on the range of sentence types that you produce. Even simple sentences need to be written accurately but in order to raise your score above Band 4, you also need to be able to show that you can use some complex sentence types and have an understanding of the relevant tenses and structures.

IELTS listening test

he Listening test takes around 30 minutes. There are 40 questions. There are four sections. The Listening test is recorded on a CD and is played ONCE only. During the test, time is given for candidates to read the questions and write down and check their answers. Answers are written on the Question Paper as candidates listen. When the recording ends, 10 minutes are allowed for candidates to transfer their answers to an Answer Sheet.

A range of English accents are used in the recordings, which reflects the international usage of IELTS.
